As a member of Influenster, I sometimes qualify for receive free products for review! (If you like to sign up, shoot me an email and I will send you an exclusive invite!!) A few weeks ago, I was sent the the NEW Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. I've been testing it for weeks and I finally have an official review.

Read on below the jump!

My holy grail foundation is the Make Up Forever Mat Velvet Plus. I have extremely oily skin all the time. I have never found a good drugstore foundation that compares to it... until now.

I'm not sure of the retail price that this Rimmel foundation will be but Mat Velvet + retails for about $36 at Sephora. I was sent for review a color that was WAY to dark for me. So I had to make sure I self tanned quite a bit before using this. Of the 8 shades, I was sent the darkest. When really, I should go for the second lightest color.

The Mat Velvet Plus keeps me matte, during a heavy work day, for 6-8 hours. This new Rimmel foundation, does the same. For me, it also covers the same.  It will cling to dry spots, so I would only recommend this if you have oily skin.

Ive applied it using a Sigma Flat Top Kabuki and a Beauty Blender. I prefer the beauty blender. The consistency, since its a mousse, is a bit thick but with a damp Beauty Blender, it can be sheered out but still have tons of coverage.

Overall, I LOVE this. Its a great cheap alternative to help keep you matte all day.  I would compare it to the Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation when it comes to coverage and staying power.  Did I mention I love it? For me, nothing will replace my MUFE foundation but if you are just headed to run errands or to a lunch date, this is perfect!

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. My opinion was in no way swayed either way by this.
